This privacy policy explains how Action Motorsport (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and looks after personal information when you use https://actionmotorsport.co.nz (the “Site”). We handle personal information in line with New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect
Enquiries and quote requests
Our Contact page and service pages use contact forms. Those forms ask for:
- Name
- Email address
- Message
If you include other details in your message (for example phone number, vehicle, or the service you want), we will receive those too. Forms are protected with Google reCAPTCHA v3.
Website analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the Site (for example pages viewed, device type, and approximate location). Google may set cookies and process technical data such as IP address.
WooCommerce scripts on the Site may set cookies (including sbjs_* cookies) that record how you arrived (referrer, UTM tags, and similar source information).
The Site also loads resources from Google (Fonts and, on the Contact page, Maps) and shows an Instagram feed. Those services can receive technical data such as your IP address when their content loads.
Online shop
The Site includes WooCommerce shop, cart, checkout, and account pages. We are not currently selling products online or collecting customer account or order data through the shop.
How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and quote requests
- Provide workshop and related services you ask for
- Communicate with you about your enquiry or work (not for advertising)
- Improve the Site and understand traffic (via analytics)
- Protect the Site from spam and abuse (including reCAPTCHA)
- Meet legal obligations where required
Who we share information with
We may share personal information with:
- Google — Analytics, reCAPTCHA, Fonts, Maps, and our Google email (Gmail/Google Workspace) used for enquiry mail, under Google’s terms and privacy policy
- Our website and hosting providers — including SiteGround and the WordPress tools that run the Site
- Instagram / Meta — if you interact with embedded social content
Enquiry form submissions are emailed to workshop@actionmotorsport.co.nz so we can reply to you. We do not sell your personal information.
This Site is protected by reCAPTCHA and Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Storage and retention
Enquiry emails are stored in our Google email and kept only for communication about your enquiry or work — not for advertising. Analytics data is held by Google according to the retention settings on our GA4 property.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, then delete or securely dispose of it.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, security, and related technical functions. We do not use a separate cookie-consent banner. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. Email workshop@actionmotorsport.co.nz and we will respond as required by law.
